Claymore is an Ethash GPU mining worker, a command-line program. With Ethminer one can mine every coin which relies on Ethereum Classic, Metaverse, Pirl, Expanse, and others. This means one can either launch it from a Windows command prompt or Linux console.

Claymore is one of the most efficient Ethereum Mining Software as it contains a dual Ethereum miner that helps in mining similar algorithm cryptocurrency without compromising on hash rate. The best part about this miner is that one can mine coins apart from Ethereum. The coins include Decred, Pascal, Siacoin, etc.

In the world where Cryptocurrencies are constantly growing in recognition and popularity, people go for new ways to profit from them. Ethereum mining software is one such method. One of the main reasons why people choose Ethereum is because it is easy to mine and quite profitable.

What is Claymore Miner?

A popular choice, if you are looking for a good Ethereum mining software, is Claymore Ethereum miner. It is famous for constantly getting new updates and being well- optimized. Currently, the software is supporting the “dual mining" option. According to the creators, now you can mine Ethereum as well as another specific type of crypto. The Claymore team has also opened up new Ethereum forks, pumped up the mining speeds, and is now working on supporting a different kind of operating system.

Claymore Dual Ethereum latest version, AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 had been released a while ago, but many of the people are not aware of this and still holds on to the older versions of the miner on their GPUs. If you tend to be one among those people who update their miner rigs less often, you should plan to upgrade to the latest version of 15.0. Claymore miner’s latest version proves to be comparatively good.

Mining is generally done by taking the block's unique header metadata by the miners, which includes a software version and a timestamp, through a hash function that generates a fixed-length string of random letters and numbers. This string is called hash, and if a miner finds a hash that matches the target, then the block will be considered mined and will be broadcast to the full network to validate and the transaction to their copy of Blockchain.

Ethereum Mining Hardware

Before getting started, one needs to choose dedicated hardware in order to set up your computer for full-time mining. CPU and GPU are the two options here. CPU (Central Processing Unit), using your computer’s processor and GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), for which you will have to buy an expensive graphics card.

An important thing to consider is that mining Ether using CPU is neither worthwhile nor profitable. GPUs are around 200 times faster than CPUs for the mining process.

Ways to Mine Ethereum

Pool Mining

Ethereum mining in a pool is the fastest and easiest way to get started. With all the people mining in a single pool, agrees to share reward if any of them finds out. However, sharing the reward and finding blocks depends on the size of the pool. Every pool is associated with a small amount of fee with which they can continue mining.

Mining Alone

This seems like a great idea. In this way, you are competing with others and will get the reward only if you complete the task first. Mining alone is profitable if you have large resources at disposal.

Dual mining was quite popular in 2017 as you could mine Ethereum and coins at a time. The current latest version of the dual miner is Claymore Dual Miner 15.0. Mining fees us 1%, and if you go for dual mining, it will be 2%. Ensure the setting are correct to avoid unnecessary errors.

Mining Ethereum With Claymore

In order to start with Claymore's dual miner, a few things will be needed.

  • A GPU mining rig
  • An Ethereum wallet to dispose of your mind Ether in.

Step 1

Download and install the miner. Download the latest miner for your operating system. Uncompress the archive somewhere safe, preferably the Desktop.

Step 2

For starting Claymore, you should review a batch file. The batch file tells the computer to start a program and allows it to send some variables that the program will use.

Step 3

Now, the miner should be configured with your settings. You got many pools to choose from. Nano pool is an easy pool to start with if you are looking for a quick move.

  • Make a note of the server that is closest to your mining rigs’ physical location.
  • In the folder containing Claymore's Dual mining, duplicate the file named Start.bat and rename it start _ ETH _ only _ nano pool. Bat
  • Open the new file just created and save the file.

Step 4

Start mining. Double click the batch file. A window will appear, showing the miner's progress. Finish! You are making Ethereum from Nanopool using Claymore’s Dual Miner.

Ethereum Mining is a good investment for people as it reduces the risk of trading. It is also a great way of generating passive income every month.
