Coinbase Announces To Possibly Add Five New Assets - Cardano, Basic Attention Token, Stellar Lumens, Zcash, 0x

Coinbase - the digital currency exchange from San Francisco announced in a blog post that they are possibly going to add five new assets. These assets are: 

Coinbase currently supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and it is adding Ethereum Classic. Here are major points which Coinbase announcement covers:

  • These assets will require additional exploratory work and final adding status will be determined after that.
  • Coinbase did not guarantee if these assets will be listed for trading.
  • Few of them may be listed only for buy and sell, and send and receive of these cryptos to other local wallets will not be allowed.
  • For privacy coins like Zcash, the deposits and withdrawals may only be allowed from transparent Zcash addresses.
  • Few of the coins may only be available in certain jurisdictions.
  • The process of adding on Ethereum Classic (ETC) is still undergoing as planned.
  • ZRX and BAT are the first ERC20 tokens which Coinbase is exploring to add.
  • There is no fixed deadline for listing.
