The $19-billion company has partnered with Spanish crypto exchange Bit2Me to kickstart this initiative. Telef\u00f3nica\u2019s partnership with the local exchange was first reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/09\/29\/telefonica-spains-largest-telco-allows-purchases-with-crypto-invests-in-local-exchange-bit2me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CoinDesk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The development shows that more global companies are recognizing the crypto-specific clientele with each passing day and hence diversifying their payment options. Also, adopting crypto for payments isn\u2019t Telef\u00f3nica\u2019s first digital rodeo. The company already has a <a href=\"https:\/\/coinswitch.co\/switch\/crypto\/coca-cola-extends-a-friendly-hand-with-nft-airdrops-on-polygon\/\">Polygon-based NFT<\/a> marketplace in action with built-in MetaMask integration.
