Despite the dwindling sales of NFTs and the dying craze for NFTs in the current bear market, a CryptoPunk NFT #2924 just changed hands at a whopping $4.5 million or 3,300 ETH. This is the largest single NFT sale in recent months and the fourth-largest NFT deal of all time for CryptoPunks.
A notable NFT collector who goes by the pseudonym seedphrase purchased the NFT There is no information available about the buyer so far.
Before this, the NFT was sold for just 150 ETH ($71,400) in November 2020.

In terms of rarity, this particular NFT is one of the 24 apes in the CryptoPunks collection, which is composed of 10,000 unique profile pictures. Based on its attributes, it is also the 38th rarest NFT in the collection by Rarity Tools.
CryptoPunks is the most valuable NFT brand in the crypto ecosystem and its sales have yielded $2.4 billion in secondary trading volume to date. The all-time highest sales value of CryptoPunk NFT was recorded in February 2022. Deepak Thapliyal, the CEO of cloud blockchain infrastructure startup, bought Punk #5822 for 8,000 ETH or nearly $24 million at the time.
