After sending, you get a transaction ID (hash). Open the relevant block explorer (e.g. Etherscan for Ethereum), paste the hash, and you will see the transaction details: status (pending, confirmed, failed), amount, sender and recipient, and number of confirmations. More confirmations mean the transaction is more final. You can also verify by checking the recipient wallet address on the explorer to see if the balance increased. If the tx shows "failed," the funds may have been returned (minus gas) or not sent; check the error.
