These operational guidelines are for statutory agencies seeking CoinSwitch account records. This information may change at any time.
We, Bitkuber Investments Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (“Bitkuber”) own and operate a tech. (trading aggregator) platform including our mobile application, collectively known as “CoinSwitch” (Platform). We as a Platform enable our users to connect with the offerers of virtual digital assets (VDAs’) towards trading activities and acting as a supporting interface to help them buy and sell VDAs’.
Law enforcement and other regulatory and statutory agencies for eg: Police, Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, Custom, and all Honorable Courts in India, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Statutory Agencies”) can use these guidelines to submit information requests. We will review each case and cooperate on a case-by-case basis to disclose information as legally required, in accordance with our Terms of Use, privacy policy, and applicable laws.
We collect, use and store user records in accordance with the CoinSwitch Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time. This includes information collected from users for the purpose of opening a CoinSwitch user account, providing services to the users, and regulatory compliance.
We have a designated Nodal Office to cooperate and coordinate with Statutory Agencies and to provide information relating to our user/transaction that happened on our platform in aid of any investigation or legal proceedings. Please note that in certain cases, we may require more information to ensure that the release of information is complete or lawful.
Statutory Agencies are requested to submit their request to furnish the information regarding the user/transaction that happened on our platform in the following manner.
Requirements for Submitting CoinSwitch Data Requests
We generally verify the authenticity of the Statutory Agency that has sent us the data request. For such verification purposes, the Statutory Agency.
Turn Around Time:
We thrive to support or assist the Statutory Agencies as quickly as possible but within the timelines specified under applicable laws, subject to receiving aforesaid information in an appropriate manner.
Upon receipt of the relevant information, we usually take approximately 48 hours (calculated for working days) to revert to the requested information. However, please note that in the absence of relevant information we may take longer than 48 hours depending on the available information. In any case, we endeavor to abide by the timelines prescribed under the applicable laws.
